Flexion Therapeutics in-licenses clinically enabled drug candidates with high-value specialty potential and develops these to proof of concept (PoC) and beyond. The independent company was founded in 2007 by Mike Clayman and Neil Bodick, both deeply knowledgeable drug developers, who previously created Eli Lilly’s Chorus division. Chorus became uniquely proficient at progressing novel molecules to clinically meaningful PoC. The combination of PoC core competency and extensive experience advancing compounds to submission and approval enables Flexion to produce defining data for partners, regulators, payers and ultimately prescribers and patients.

Flexion - a truth-seeking approach that delivers value.

Flexion

Flexion Therapeutics takes its name from the point of value inflection in early pharmaceutical development where the market potential of a drug candidate is first characterized with clinical data: clinical proof of concept. In the pharmaceutical industry, achieving this milestone typically takes 3–4 years and $15M to $40M.

Flexion's founders, through compact experimental design and maintenance of a lean organization, have consistently delivered proof of concept in 1–2.5 years and $3M to $5M.
